  • Maxine may be the best known fictional Cranky Old Geezer. At the very least, she has got to be the must successful, selling millions of cards and other items for Hallmark Cards
  • Mr. Wilson (from Dennis the Menace) - a retired mailman. All he wants to do is live in peace. Instead, he's harassed by the 5-year old next door. Is it any wonder he's cranky? (NOTE: His wife, Martha, bakes wonderful cookies, and in no way is a Cranky Old Geezer.)
